Garage Doors
Should I attempt to adjust my own garage door springs? No....
damage to the door, automatic opener, vehicle(s) or personal body can
occur. It requires the correct tools and knowledge to assure the
proper adjustments. Ideally, once a year is recommended for timely
maintenance.
How often should I lubricate the rollers?
The rollers usually come pre-lubed from the manufacturer. We do
not recommend placing 'grease' in the tracks where the rollers are.
Oiling the roller shaft is a good idea as dirt, dust and small particles
can collect inside the hinge barrel where the roller shaft is inserted
through it.

What is the best way to start a fire in my fireplace?
A fireplace has a cool to cold flue system before it is
started. Make sure the damper is in the fully open position, have
the firewood in place in the wood grate, take a page of newspaper and
light it and hold up to the damper to allow the flue to 'warm' up.
A flue will draw much netter when its warm. Once the flue is warm,
then light the firewood. This should help alleviate smoke spillage
into the living area. Remember, never use fluids such as gasoline,
starter fluid, kerosene or any other flammable liquid to help start your
fire.
